    Retina/Vitreous, Trauma

This video demonstrates induced macular detachment for the management of persistent or refractory idiopathic macular holes. This technique involves the creation of serous macular detachment by injecting a balanced salt solution into the subretinal space through multiple retinotomies within the major retinal vascular arcades using a subretinal cannula connected to a syringe. Once the salt-solution infusions connect with the macular hole, fluid–air exchange is performed followed by injection of C3F8 gas into the vitreous cavity.
