Terrien marginal degeneration. (A) Thinning in superior cornea at periphery, with lipid deposits in bed of lesion and at central corneal edge. In most cases, thinning does not progress to perforation. Lesions may progress circumferentially or they may remain stationery. (B) Peripheral thinning as seen with slit lamp in same patient.
