Drs. Alia Durrani and Shriji Patel demonstrate repair of a near total retinal detachment in the setting of acute retinal necrosis. Two causative giant retinal tears with a small bridge of attached retina are identified on examination. They perform a careful shave of the vitreous traction with scleral depression followed by perfluorocarbon instillation, which successfully flattens the retina.
