In this video Dr. Mayank Bansal demonstrates a novel technique for staining the internal limiting membrane (ILM) in eyes with retinal detachment using perfluorocarbon liquid (PFCL). Instead of using the conventional method where surgeons wait for the dye to stain, Dr. Bansal injects the brilliant blue G dye under the PFCL bubble using a silicon soft-tip cannula. This technique reduces both the amount of dye used and the surgical time, as there is no need to wait for the ILM to stain.
