This prospective study included six patients at high risk for graft rejection who were treated with oral mycophenolate mofetil in combination with sirolimus for one year after penetrating keratoplasty. Endothelial rejection episodes occurred in three patients at two, four, and 10 months after transplantation. Rejection was reversible in two of these three patients. One patient had to discontinue mycophenolate due to hepatotoxicity. No adverse effects were observed in the other patients.
