Following on Dr. David Chang's presentation at the AAO 2023 symposium on "Green Ophthalmology: Our Sustainability Mandate," where he briefly discussed how the Aravind Eye Clinic in India practices environmental sustainability, Mr. Thulasiraj Ravilla, one of the founders of the Aravind Eye Care System, gives a more detailed overview of the sustainability measures they have taken. These include switching over to renewable energy, reducing overall energy and water consumption, and increasing the use of telehealth visits.
