Fibrin Glue for Graft Apposition in Mucous Membrane Grafting for Lid Margin Pathologies in Stevens-Johnson Syndrome

Mucous membrane grafting has been demonstrated to be an effective surgical approach to manage lid-margin abnormalities like keratinization and metaplastic lashes in Stevens-Johnson syndrome. However, when a polygalactin suture is employed in the apposition of the mucosal graft to the lid margin, the suture itself causes ocular surface irritation in these eyes, which already have chronic dry eye and ocular surface inflammation.
