  • Retina/Vitreous

This small pilot study followed 10 patients (11 eyes) for a median of 70 days. Reduction in central retinal thickness was observed as early as two weeks, with a mean foveal thickness reduction of 127.2 [mu]m at four weeks. Concurrent improvement in visual acuity was seen in four of 10 patients and was unchanged in the others. The effect is transient, and re-injections may be necessary, although the time between injections differs from patient to patient.
