    Cone dystrophy. (A) Arterial phase shows intense fluorescence from choriocapillaris in macular region. Pigment epithelium cells have lost melanin, resulting in increased fluorescene. (B) Good retinal vascular pattern is seen in later arteriovenous phase. Note absence of leakage from choriocapillaris. (C) Late venous phase shows very little fluorescene because most of fluorescein-containing blood has left choroid. Optic disc has retained some dye and is now fluorescing.
