    Cornea/External Disease

The videokeratoscope generates color-coded maps of local corneal curvature. The maps require smoothing, since no measurements are obtained between keratoscopic mires. This cornea demonstrates a central surface of 43.00-44.00 diopters (D). Note that the eye may be almost spherical or have a curvature of 43.00 x 43.87 D, since each color has a 1.0-D range.
