Myopia has become an epidemic among children in wealthy nations, including the United States. Families are clamoring to know how to prevent or treat myopia in their children. This symposium address the latest information on the genetics and environmental factors that are linked to myopia in children. Drs. Kathy Lee and Scott Larson lead a discussion of recent findings related to myopia progression, including near work, contact lenses and outdoor time, as well as how to use low-dose atropine to slow myopia in the children.
