Abnormal head posture (AHP) can be an essential clinical sign for an underlying disease, which can only be properly treated by the accurate diagnosis of the cause. Ocular causes of AHP may include nystagmus, superior oblique palsy, and Duane’s retraction syndrome. Longstanding AHP may cause facial asymmetry and secondary muscular and skeletal changes. Goniometers or computer analysis methods are often used to measure different manifestations of AHP. In this video, Dr. Mahmoud Ismail presents a novel and easy technique for accurately measuring AHP using iPhone photo editing tools.
